Last night, after much speculation Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli finally tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy. The actress and her cricketer husband confirmed the news via their personal social media accounts along with a picture of the two looking completely crazy in love, having achieved wedded bliss. For the ceremonies, the couple chose bridal powerhouse designer Sabyasachi for all their outfits – guess no Manyavar here! She ditched the heavy, cake-like makeup and false lashes that tend to be associated with most brides in favour of a fresh faced, dewy look.Scroll down too see all her looks:
For her mehendi, Sharma was outfitted in a bright orange and pink lehenga paired with a floral top – so no doubt her makeup had to be toned down. Hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou kept her long tresses sleek with a deep center part. Sharma’s brows were filled in and a pale, barely there pink lippie was applied.
Wearing a crushed velvet maroon saree, makeup artist Puneet B Saini gave Anushka a subtle smokey eye and Bambi like lashes. A nude lipstick was applied, no doubt to let the focus be on her exquisite Sabyasachi jewellery. Georgiou swept her mane into a low bun and adorned it with deep red roses.
Ladies, now let this be a lesson on how having a “no-make-up” makeup look can create an impact. Save for a flush of blush and kajal, Sharma barely had any face paint on.
Georgiou decided to adorn her hair with the fresh hydrangeas that were in bloom in Tuscany. The blush hued flowers were the perfect accessory for her bun.
